I have been playing with LK8000 on my Nexus 5x phone and Nexus 9 tablet - both running Android 7.+

I found that LK8000 would often restart if I moved away from LK8000 and had a quick look at e-mail or some other app (this is on the ground sitting at home. I was NOT aviating at the time ;-)

One way to avoid this seems to be ensuring that the Battery Optimisation feature available in the latest versions of Android is turned OFF for the LK8000 app.

Look in Settings/Battery, then click the three menu dots/bars. Select Battery Optimisation. Click Not Optimised and select All apps. Scroll down to LK8000, click, and select Don't Optimise!

This has worked nicely on both my devices, and I can now safely move from LK8000 to another app, and return to LK8000 without it restarting.

Cheers

I confirme, only Android 6.0 or higher are concerned.

Hello ernst-dieter,

I am not sure about earlier Android versions. If they don't have battery optimisation they may not try and kill LK8000 if you leave the app temporarily....

What about not so fresh Android versions?

+1 to your karma.

Yesterday had question about this from one of my friends.
