I just tried out the Central Italy software in Condor and found it to be very close to real life flying conditions in thermals. The scenery is very good graphically as well. The glider flight models perform in a very life like manner. All in all, a great winter soaring substitute for the real thing! As soon as I had finished the download I got a task from Condor Club of about 90NM’s and off I went cloud base was at 11,000ft (why don’t clouds reach those heights in the UK!) and throughout the flight the scenery looks wonderful. I finished the task at 03.00 after 1.50 hours and even though tired enjoyed ever second taking in the sights below me. Fabulous Job Guys. I only have one complaint and that is the download speeds, I have a 10mb connection and the best I got 295kbits/sec, that’s an average of 20 minutes per file. For payware I would have hoped for better. It’s not my line does not have a problem as I get 1.2mb from other sites.
